Launching linens (doesn’t that sound like fun!)

Standard

Welcome to our daily challenge! Wait! Don’t go away!! Read here to get caught up on what’s going on. (And  coming in in the middle is totally cool.)

Day: 10

Objective: sell/trash/gift/donate ten objects.

Definition of “materialsm”: Finding your joy with stuff. Note: if your joy comes with stuff, that bumps down the list things like relationships, experiences, and freedom.  Hint: you don’t want your joy to come with your stuff. It will let you down way more times than not.

Reason: If your basement floods you’re going to lose it all anyway. Wouldn’t you rather get rid of it now rather than when it’s covered in sewage backed up from the city’s outdated system?

Suggestion: We’re in double digits! Don’t worry. It’s been easier than expected so far and we still have lots of house we haven’t touched yet.

How does your linen closet look? It should be easy-peasy to get to ten in the linen closet. Just two sets of placemats and a couple curtains will get you there. Try counting each set as one and still get to ten.

It’s time to admit that those curtains are outdated. That those sheets are too scratchy. That those towels never make it into the rotation. If you haven’t used something in the last 6 months it should go. Just think about how much easier it will be easier to find things in the closet with it pared down only to essentials that you really like.
